A Student Response From:

I shared my food, it shared its home
A Last Note:
Last week I bit into a bell pepper and found a caterpillar inside. It was green, nestled inside, and very much alive.
The top was off the pepper and making its way through my digestive system; there was no going back. I took the part furthest from the insect for myself. The least I could do after destroying a creature’s home was not let it go to waste.
The caterpillar now lives on a bush in my backyard. It was probably happier living inside that bell pepper. The bell pepper that I cannot quite call 'my' lunch because the caterpillar was there first.
